Why we rank on CADR, not “cleans 1,700 sq ft” claims
Portable room air cleaners are sold with large coverage numbers. Many of those figures assume roughly one air change per hour — far slower than the AHAM Verifide ~4.8 ACH room-size basis.
This journal stub exists so methodology notes can ship before a full editorial calendar. Future posts will walk through AHAM’s 2/3 rule, True HEPA vs HEPA-type labeling, and how we refuse invented lab numbers.
